As we forgive those who trespass against us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from EGO. I have learned that the acronym of EGO means Edging God Out. I have also learned by a Lakota Sioux brother that it's okay to ask Creator to take food off of our plate if we are too overwhelmed. I have done that more often than not and received peace and rest when I make this simple request
I just want to add ( if you don't mind) there was a comment below the article that struck me, "When's the last time you spent ten years trying to approach mastery of a craft? Victory through thinking rather than strength?"
We, too often, want immediate results. What if we approached life in the same manner? Taking the time to master our lives, rather than have our basic wants and desires rule? But then again, it all comes back to leaving your ego at the door...
